Founder and Director
Karen has over 29 years of commercial experience in marketing, sales and business management, with the last 16 years in events management and seminar promotions.
Her passion for NLP and personal growth has guided her on a personal journey for over 20 years. In pursuit of excellence, learning and personal growth, Karen has attended numerous NLP, business and personal growth courses nationally and internationally.
Through this passion and desire to learn, Karen travels the world to seek out the best of the best educational products to offer to Universal Events clients.
Her passion for learning has driven the company culture and resulted in the development of a great global team who share her desire to learn, grow, educate and inspire.
Karen is known for her entrepreneurial abilities, interpersonal skills, enthusiasm and optimistic attitude. Starting her first business at the age of 21, Karen has built 4 very successful businesses from imported French and Italian clothing boutiques, Australia's No. 1 Personal Development and Success Magazine to fast growing educational companies, with offices in the UK and Australia.
Her legacy is to make available to millions of people the gift of learning, growth and empowerment through live trainings, seminars, products, coaching and mentoring and e-learning.
Karen holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of NSW in Australia, an Anthony Robbins Mastery University Diploma and is an internationally Certified Master Practitioner of NLP.
Ken Wood
Strategist and Systems Architect
Ken has had a varied career, spanning silicon chip design, programming, software technical support and a variety of sales and marketing roles. He is a serial entrepreneur and company director, actively involved in four businesses.
Together with his wife, Karen Corban they are continuing to expanding their global businesses internationally and into related markets.
Ken's focus is on strategy and systems - building businesses that perform and deliver high and consistent levels of service over the long term.
Andrew Moon

Andrew’s great aptitude in understanding a business’s issues and delivering solutions which are beyond expectations has come from his experience working in seven different major cities in five different countries across four continents and marks him as a well travelled, very successful executive who combines professionalism with outstanding leadership and communication abilities and delivers with huge passion and genuine enthusiasm.
Prior to his appointment as CEO of Universal Events, he has held senior executive roles with many of the world's most renowned businesses, including CEO of Billback Systems, the leading provider of expense management solutions for law firms in Australia, Europe and the USA; head of Espreon's Corporate Services Division; Chair of the Parkinson’s Tulip Foundation; CEO of Tower Life’s Australian operations, responsible for a business which employed up to 1,000 staff; and General Manager, Colonial State Bank, responsible for a division of 160 people with $6.5 billion in commercial assets and $112 million in profit contribution.
Andrew is a confident and passionate Senior Executive, Mentor and Consultant with huge passion and genuine enthusiasm.
Dina Bonke
General Manager
Dina joined us in 2006 with 16 years experience in the events industry covering all aspects of event management, team leadership and pre-production coordination. She has travelled the globe with this industry and is passionate about working with events which contribute to people’s personal and professional success.
Dina commenced her career as a social worker and worked with employers and employees to resolve human resource issues. She then managed a range of employment and training programs within the Department of Employment and Training, Queensland using her unique and successful strategies for working with and managing teams of people.
Dina holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Queensland; Professional Logistics (Event Management), The Excellerated Learning Institute, Phoenix, AZ, USA; has a Graduate Certificate in Management from the University of Nepean, Western Sydney and is currently studying the Advanced Corporate Coaching stream, CoachU, USA. Dina is a certified NLP Practitioner through Christopher Howard Training.
