It’s Universal Events’ 18th Birthday!

After supporting all our other wonderful “Stars” it’s her turn to be a star for a day!

18 fantastic years, what a ride!

The highs and lows, the passion and breakthroughs, the tears and laughter and the amazing community of like minded friends that have developed.

She has come of AGE and is now on the verge of adulthood – she can even have a drink…French Champagne of course

It’s time to celebrate what UE stands for… lifestyle, passion, freedom and friendship!

This morning as I wrote a note of gratitude to our amazing team, I reflected on all the truly incredible people who have been part of the Universal Events Journey over the past 18 years.

OUR INSPIRING COMMUNITY
We’ve reached more than 500,000 people through more than 1000 events and initatives across Australia and New Zealand.

Since the very early days, I have consistently been inspired by the people who come to our events and form part of our wonderful community.

Watching the breakthroughs and receiving incredible emails from people whose lives have been completely transformed has been one of the greatest joys of the past 18 years.

Thank YOU for being part of our community.

OUR TRAINERS AND SPEAKERS
There have been over 80 in 18 years and every one has made a difference to people’s lives. Thank you for the legacy you leave and the mark you have made!

OUR SUPPLIERS
Thank you for your service – at times we’ve given you some tight deadlines and you always come through!

ALL TEAM MEMBERS, CURRENT AND PAST
Looking through photos this past week brought memories flooding back.

I’m still in touch with many former UE team members and enjoy hearing about their triumphs and successes.

I am so grateful to our wonderful team! Each and every person makes an incredible difference! Thank you!

MY PARTNER, KEN
It’s a blessing to have a really great friend and partner to enjoy life and work with.

We have been together for 17 years and we met at one of the hypnosis seminars I was hosting, so I have a great anchor to events! In case you were wondering, he didn’t hypnotise me into going out with him (LOL)

WHAT I’VE LEARNED
To trust your intuition, follow your dreams, believe in yourself, look for solutions, love others and respect their model of the world, appreciate others and sort for their great qualities and their strengths, laugh, play, work hard and rock your world.

Expect the best and that’s what you will get.

If I had my time all over again and it was 1992 when I drove around Australia in a big truck (different business) contemplating what my next endeavour would be, I would not have chosen a different field or industry. I am grateful every day for the wonderful NLP skills I have learned, dream teams to co-create magic with and wonderful mentors who guided us along the way.

Thank you for being part of the journey. It’s time to celebrate!

Karen

P.S. Watch this space, we’ve got a wonderful walk down memory lane coming soon!

I’m loving Chris Howard’s new book Instant Wealth: Wake Up Rich.

In it he talks about 5 different types of dichotomies that we have all been caught in from time to time, which keep us from having what we really want in life.

Chris explains a dichotomy as that “either-or” kind of thinking… when we start to believe if we have or do one thing, we can’t have or do something else.

Here’s the 5 major dichotomous ways of thinking that Chris outlines in his book as the major contributors towards the “social hypnosis” that keeps many people from living their ideal life.

Dreams Vs Obligations
Ever felt you had to choose between your dreams and your obligations? Many of us get stuck believing we have to fulfil all our obligations before we can start living our dreams.

Here’s what Chris says, “The truth is that your biggest obligation to the people you love is to show them how to live a truly inspired life.”

Spirituality Vs Materialism
Who says you either have to focus on being spiritually enlightened or focus your efforts solely on making money? And yet, I know this is a real issue we’ve all struggled with. And it can lead to feelings of guilt or the idea that we have to somehow sacrifice our spirituality to pursue our financial goals.

Here’s what Chris says, “The key to enlightened Instant Wealth is to channel your spiritual energies into the pursuit of all your goals. When you wake up to this realization, life becomes truly rich.”

Passion Vs Money
This dichotomy has you believing you either need to be a starving artist doing what you love, or you have to “sell out” to make money.

Here’s what Chris says, “What assisted me in breaking through this dichotomy was the inspiration I received from other super-wealthy, super-successful entrepreneurs who were making money by waking up to what they loved.”

Social Vs Money
This is the illusion that you either focus on making money or you focus on making a social contribution.

Here’s what Chris says, “Those goals are not mutually exclusive. In this book you’ll meet many people who have given so much of their great wealth to support wonderful and inspiring causes around the world.”

Social Vs Passion
Here, our black and white thinking can have us believe we can either focus on being a good person and making a contribution to society, or we can follow our own personal dreams.

Here’s what Chris says, “I was lost between these two concepts until I learned that we contribute directly to the world through self-expression. By shining brightly, you give others permission to shine the same.”

Chris Howard’s book, Instant Wealth: Wake Up Rich is a Wall Street Journal Bestseller. To purchase his book on Amazon, click here.
